An old student of mine graduated high school and is on his way to Western Michigan to continue his education. His mother, who I still see frequently commissioned me to do this piece for him as a graduation gift. She gave me a list of all of the things he liked throughout high school and this is the result. What we have here is my first real attempt at digital painting. Behold! My interpretation of The Lord of the Flies...no, not the book, but the demon himself, Beelzebub. Here we see one of the chief princes of Hell being summoned for one reason or another...probably something diabolical, wouldn't you agree?

I do reckon this ol' boy has something to say...or howl for that matter. Perhaps he has come as a herald to the oncoming apocalypse...or maybe he just wants to sing "happy birthday"...
